Executive Producer and Creator | Actual-Play Multi-Cam TV show
Dungeons and Dormrats is an independently Produced Multi-Cam Actual Play TV production. Actual Play productions take TTRPG's Like Dungeons and Dragons and brings them to the screen by immersing the audience in the narrative. It is also very similar to shows like "Who's Line Is It Anyways?" because of the structured but highly improvisational nature of the show. Ran with a minimum combined crew of 11 people per production day.
As Producer and Creator I have taken the time to wholly own this work of Intellectual Property. I have a full Chain of Title, Commercial Equivalent Budget, and all other paperwork that brought this from idea to produced show. I have secured sponsors like GamerConcepts.com, The Center for Learning through Games and Simulations, and Local Color Farms. This show was licensed to MHTV for episodes edited to meet their standards including commercial and content standards. MHTV episodes can be found on the Moore Hall Television YouTube Channel.
Dungeons and Dormrats has recorded two seasons and is currently gearing up for it's third and final season. Season One is going through it's final editing processes before releasing the finale. Season Two is being prepared for Batch Editing and Release.
Finally, I have given a seminar about translating ttrpg's to the screen at Gen Con which is the largest board game convention in the US. This Seminar was based off our experiences and knowledge gained from making our show. Attendees walked away with an appreciation for the complexity of Actual-Plays and a framework for how to start putting together their own shows.
